Katie was born on December 18, 1978 in Toledo, Ohio. She did incredibly well in her first ever motion picture, The Ice Storm, with Sigourney Weaver and Kevin Kline, and helped the film on to win The Cannes Film Festival. She currently stars in the hit TV series, Dawson's Creek, where she plays a shy troubled teenager that is secretly in love with her best friend, Dawson.
